| Aba bēbē bachabē |
Part of the spell Lewis Barnavelt recites in front of the Izard mausoleum before, as it were, "Selenna busts out" [The House with a Clock in its Walls, 87].
In the 1979 television adaptation of House, these words are used by Uncle Jonathan to prove to his nephew that he is a wizard. Only that time the words cause Lewis to float around the library. Big difference, eh?
Hantsoo reports that the similar "Bagabi laca bachabeis" is an ancient formula for invoking a demon.
