An author of numerous anti-ascetic tracts [St. Fidgeta and Other Parodies, 16, 24]. Her Prayer for Relief from Uneasiness, a St. Fidgeta devotional, is said to be effective within 24 hours. Her life principal of caloric immolation caused much debate about her status as a martyr but the Council of Trent shelved the matter, and there it stands. Member of the Order of Faithful Fidgettines (O.F.F.).
Definition of adiposa: fat.
Asceticism is the rejection of bodily pleasures through sustained self-denial and self-mortification, with the objective of strengthening spiritual life.
