| Aristotelis Opera (book) |
One of the books seen in the library of the strange M. Millhorn [The Face in the Frost, 161].
Aristotelis Opera (Latin for "Works of Aristotle") is an actual book - a rare and obscure one, but it nevertheless exists - and might contain all of Aristotle's writings, though we really aren't sure. This is little more than an educated guess, for there are very few sources available to look through. It was apparently published by a fellow named Guillelmus du Val in Paris in 1629 and there are obvious very few copies in existence - we can tell you that Thomas Jefferson owned a copy in his library at Monticello.
