| Question Box |
A chapter of St. Fidgeta and Other Parodies is devoted to questions about the Catholic faith from a hodge-podge of parishioners and answered by an acid-tongued moderator [St. Fidgeta & Other Parodies, 39-50].
The concept of the question box – to the best of our knowledge – stems from a 1904 book by Bertrand Conway called The Question Box, who answered questions about the faith from Catholics and non-Catholics alike.
People who pose a question to this Question Box include:
- Burgerbitz, Father
- Clapp, Modine
- D., L.S.
- Fiorello, Sister M.
- Frem, Gertie
- Gozzoli, Benozzo
- M., Mrs. A.
- Min, Aunt
- Rugg, Annie Mrs.
- Sansfoy, Miss Purina
- Tanquerary, Septa
- Wolohan, Arthur "Dutch"
