St. Fidgeta's shrine is the church of Santa Fidgeta in Tormento, near the city of Fobbio [St. Fidgeta & Other Parodies, 12].
Fictitious cities. Tormento is italian for torment.
Similar in spelling is the famous Italian monastery Bobbio, founded by St. Columbanus, an extremely busy Irishman who also founded monasteries in France, Germany, and Switzerland. The monastery itself was dissolved in the early 19th century. |
