Classifieds
We’re periodically asked on ways others can assist with portions of the site. One area we’re always interested in has to do with the books themselves; particularly, information about where they were published, associated illustrators, and how collectors can better identify foreign and domestic titles. Below is some of the information we're looking for. We’ll always give you credit for showing your work, too. Thanks!
- Book data
Every book in the bibliography section has a dedicated page containing information such as publisher, ISBN, and illustrator, among other data. Over the years some of this information has gotten corrupted and so we’re in the process of finally cleaning it up and better organizing it for both casual fans and dedicated collectors. Additions or corrections are greatly appreciated.

This is especially true for the foreign editions of the books. We're most interested in identifying artists for:
- Books Scans
We’re always interested in seeing scans of book covers that we haven’t showcased on the site yet. If it’s on your bookshelf but not on the site, please consider sharing a scan or two (or share your collection on the forum as others have done). Likewise, there are some book scans where our original image was less than pristine and we’d like to find better and clearer images. We’re most interested in finding:
- Reusable Polish Covers
Yeah, okay, this one may take a bit of explaining (and may not yield much in the long run) but we’ll leave you to the story about the Polish edition of The Beast Under the Wizard’s Bridge and where else that fiery white horse has been. That said, if you’ve seen the artwork of the Polish Lewis Barnavelt editions used on other books, let us know (it would seem very likely since none of the illustrations tend to correspond to anything in the books). It would be interesting to know how the artwork was originally intended to be used.
