Grim Fairy Tales for Adults
Rotten snags! Rotten hair!
Dale:
High school cartoonist. Thirty years experience in public transportation operations, planning and funding. Twenty-five years of involvement in music performance, particularly early music. President of the Oak Park Recorder School, long time board member and past president of the Chicago Chapter of the American Recorder Society, and member of the Oak Park Recorder Society, and Musicke’s Merrie Companions.

Marilyn:
Painter, book and magazine illustrator, teacher, accreditation administrator for 20 years at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She also is the artist of Grim Fairy Tales for Adults, written by Joel Wells, and Rotten snags! Rotten hair!, co-written by her husband. Both Marilyn and Dale are recently retired and active with their interests in music, dance, theater, reading, gardening, cooking and travel.

Other interests:
They occasionally go overboard with their love of travel and opera. For example, in the first seven months of 2002, they attended 21 operas (10 as part of a Wagnerfest in Berlin). They have three beautiful daughters whose careers span business, technology and the arts. Two frighteningly attractive grandchildren so far, who show promise of having the creative genius of their grandparents.
