Grand Army of Republic (G.A.R.) Hall
The G. A. R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Hall and East End [Carver] Park are mentioned frequently in the Lewis Barnavelt books as a kind of eastern boundary to New Zebedee’s Main Street.

“East End Park, a tiny park at the eastern end of Main Street [where] there were a few benches and a flower garden surrounded by a little iron fence.”
